Honorary Flight Medics
The IAFP recognizes Ken Bouvier and Gary Wingrove as Honorary Flight Paramedics:
Ken Bouvier -NAEMT Immediate Past President Ken is a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic and the President of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. In 1989 Ken was the recipient of the National Emergency Technician of the Year Award presented by NAEMT. Ken Currently is the Fire Chief for Monsanto Company in Luling, Louisana and is the Administrative Liaison for New Orleans EMS. Ken started his EMS career in 1974 at the Westwego, Louisiana Volunteer Fire Department where he still finds time to volunteer. Ken is on the Advisory Board of EMS Magazine and has written many articles for EMS & Fire Service publications. He is best known for his EMS lectures on Hazardous Materials, Gun Violence, "Tricks of the Trade", and "America's Schoolyard Shootings." He has made written contributions in ten textbooks and is the author of several video training tapes "America's Schoolyard Shootings", "Hazardous Materials and EMS" and "Tricks of the Trade." Ken is recorgnized both Nationally and Internationally by United Who's Who as a professional speaker in the EMS profession. |

Gary Wingrove -Gold Cross/Mayo Clinic Transport Gary is a member of the National EMS Managers Association and is on the American Ambulance Association Political Action Committee. He is very knowledgeable in political affairs and travels frequently to Washington to meet with members of congress on EMS r5elated issues. In 2006 Gary received a Recognition Award from the National Organization of State Officers of Rural Health (NOSORH), for his help in advancing the state office of rural health movement and in bringing rural health and EMS closer together.
